Die beiden Inuit-Kehlensängerinnen Akinisie Sivuarapik und Lisa Louise Ittukallak werden zusammen mit dem renommierten deutschen Kollektiv Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart und dem Akkordeonspieler Joseph Petric das Stück Inuit Songs II des Komponisten Gordon Williamson aufführen. Diese interkulturelle Begegnung ist das Ergebnis einer engen Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem kanadischen Komponisten, der jetzt seinen Wohnsitz nach Deutschland verlagert hat, dem Kulturinstitut Avataq und der indigenen Gemeinschaft von Puvirnituq (Nunavik) sowie den ausgewählten Inuit-SängerInnen.

Deux chanteuses de gorge inuites, Akinisie Sivuarapik et Lisa Louise Ittukallak, se joindront au réputé ensemble vocal allemand Neue Vocalsolisten de Stuttgart et à l’accordéoniste Joseph Petric pour présenter une toute nouvelle œuvre de Gordon Williamson, Inuit Songs II. Cette rencontre interculturelle est le fruit d’une étroite collaboration entre le compositeur canadien établi en Allemagne, l’Institut culturel Avataq et la communauté autochtone de Puvirnituq (Nunavik), en plus des chanteuses inuites impliquées.

Two Inuit throat singers, Akinisie Sivuarapik and Lisa Louise Ittukallak, will join the renowned German vocal ensemble Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart and accordionist Joseph Petric to perform Gordon Williamson’s major new work, Inuit Songs II. This intercultural meeting is the result of a close collaboration between the Canadian composer now based in Germany, the Avataq Cultural Institute and indigenous community of Puvirnituq (Nunavik), as well as with the featured Inuit singers.
